hey guys,
Found this kind of funny..
I called a local diesel shop about a half hour from here. They rebuild / sell parts for our trucks. When I questioned the availability of the DGK121, they told me that they were under agreement with Bosch to be able to purchase the kit, but not sell it outright to the public. I found this a little strange, but I guess because they are a rebuilding shop, then it is what it is.
So while on the phone I asked the guy how much to rebuild ? How much to reseal using a new kit ?
He told me that if there was NO PARTS to replace, other than what is in the kit, we were looking at about $220 plus tax. If there were parts that were worn out, they would call first and confirm the extra costs for rebuilding it with the new parts that didn't come in the kit.
Sound fair ? Seems like a couple hundred bucks is worth having it done if someone didn't have the time, confidence, or skills necessary to do so.
What's ya think ?

I too was looking for a DGK121 kit a few weeks ago. Tried e-bay..but could not find one. Decided to go to my local B&D Diesel shop and see if I could get one through them. They had 3 in stock...and sold me one. I asked what was going on and they told me that Bosch has stopped...at least for the time being...producing these kits.
