Im in a bind, I need some input
Riflemanusmc I was having a thought the other day about the very thing, Lenco 5sp behind a diesel. That would be a fun truck, and talk about rowin gears, no break in the smoke streamers following you as you shifted. My issues with the autos is pulling a heavy G/N and starting out on soft ground, it just won't last for long. Drag racing with an auto is the way to go. I'm not hard on equipment and have never lost a clutch from heavy loads but i've burnt a few autos. With that said it's all into whatcha like and whatcha use it for. I would like to see a dyno sheet with a built auto then converted to a 5sp and see what the difference really is. But myself that's alot of work and way too much money to see what's the difference is. But the Lenco would have to be real fun.
Won't be much if any difference if the built auto is a 47RH with a locking TC and it is locked during the run. Now a built A518, there would definitely be a difference, no matter how built it is!
my signature shows the difference between a slipping 518 and a locked up 47rh. when i dynoed with the 47rh i had the fuel pin turn to the stock side

. i had the truck tuned for towing the week before and forgot about the fuel pin.
