idle screw

idle screw

does the idle screw do anything else except adjust idle? does it hold the injector pump together in anyway?, id like to take it out entirly and make my own screw that i can access through the front of the jump insted if messing up the threads and not having to work with a bad screw, is it ok to do this?

Idle screw does NOTHING to hold the pump together.

Mine has been missing for a while.

TimB has had his done for a couple years now and works FANTASTIC!!!!

They do make a wrench specifically for this job. It works well. Snap On #SP145

You can also fab up an idle stop that bolts to the pump.

Well... thats TWO for the easy bolt on idle adjust!
