I want a 24v intake elbow!

Where would i find one (98.5-02) and what is involved in making it work? Will i need another intercooler tube to connect to the intake elbow or can i make the stock one work somehow?

Because theres not much work involved and flows 100x better than stock because the opening is alot bigger and it looks stock under the hood.

have you ever seen the inside of a stock 1st gen horn....

the 24v intake horn was good for almost a 100* drop in EGT's on our 93.

what are you talking about when you say points the "wrong way" ? it points down and towards the front of the truck....

I would put a wanted ad out on here and probly CompD and they will come out of the wood work, you can usually pick one up for 25-75$.

To make it work you will need to turn the intake plate 180* so it will clear the master cylinder and you will need to fab up a new drivers side pipe.

I actually have a 2nd gen cooler out of a 96 and I used all the 96 tubes and hardware.

how much of a change is the stock pipe compared to the one you need to fab up??

...and i think he must be thinking about the commonrail intake too. philip did the dyno test and the 24v(vp pumped) intake and the coolertubz intake made the same power.

its not about making more power its about more volume and lowering egts

I got mine from a guy that had a '99, and put a Banks High-Ram on. I traded him a case of cheap beer for it. Longer bolts are needed for the 24v horn, so try to get those with the horn. I got the intercooler pipe from TWorline(same guy that makes Coolertubz), and think it was only like $35. The 24v horn seemed to help spool up and egt's a little.

philips posted this... "At 60 MPH I had a 50 degree drop in EGT's. At WOT it was 25 degrees" and the hp was the same as the coolertubz.

to dieseldawg604- i am intercooled and my intercooler doesnt even have 3" outlets so the 3" tube wont make much, if any difference. im trying to get rid of the stock restrictive intake as cheaply as possible lol

I recognize most of that crossover.

Jbrad, All you gotta do is make a pipe with a 45* bend in it about 2" out of the cooler, you'll need a 2.5-3" adapter boot and a 3" boot along with clamps
