Aside from working at Pepsi locally, I'm part owner in a small towing business. I went out to get a haircut tonight and on my way back my buddy called me to tow a '94 CTD that was broke down on the bypass. It was a 2wd 3/4 ton with 440,000 miles! The ORIGINAL auto finally gave up it's ghost! I was relieved to learn that it was not a mechanical failure on the engines part!

 

I think Dodge should buy that automatic from him like they sometimes do with the 1,000,000 mile Cummins... I can't believe a stock auto would last that long!!

 

man, this is a good story in a way! I LOVE hearing about the reliability of these truck! my dad's '99, believe it or not, has 487K...original motor, original tranny...the only things to have ever been replaced on it is the water pump, lift pump and radiator got a crack in it once! LOVE these vehicles...
