Sounds like you broke your forward band or toasted the clutches, the band is the one you replace with a carbon fiber/kevlar one for more holding power and strength.
I think what the problem is you have a truck with good power and you're putting stock 47RH's in it. 47RH's in stock form were pretty weak and it was very easy to slip them with a few tweaks to a p-pump.
I think its time the pan gets dropped and you look for obvious damage to the forward band and remove the rear servo and check for cracks and see if its clocked the correct way. The whining noise makes me think its more of a transfercase issue, another possibility is the link that goes between the band and the adjuster has fallen out.
Me and my Friend took apart a V10 47RE at school and rebuilt it, it was amazing how stupid simple everything was, Its like everything can only go together one way

Hence the reason i suggested transfercase.
It could be something stupid like the strut popped off but i doubt it becaues he still has reverse. Don't know till you pull the pan
If the rear clutchpack goes bad (4 clutches 3 steels IIRC) it won't move forward but will still have reverse.

yes this is the 47 RH i had a 518 first then i swapped this in and i know the transfercase is still good it's all the tranny, i brought it down to the shop tonight on the flat deck so this weeekend im gonna pull it, at the moment im getting a loan for a 2001 dodge durango R/T with the 5.9 fully loaded
Noooooooooo dont get the durango. Its just and overpriced beater. They had very poor reliablility and poor milage. Oh wel I guess I bought a few poor vehicles over time as well. hehe. Good luck with the trans.
