I may never get to 200,000 now
I am getting close to the 200,000 mile mark, but my odometer quit on me today. The speedo works fine but the odo quit both trip and total 199848. I had thought the mpg had took a big drop this winter over the last few tanks anyway. I was still getting about the same days driving to work but hand figuring I had been coming up with 9- 11 mpg as opposed to 18-20. Then today I caught the odo taking a nap on me. I stopped at a shop on the way home and when I left it was working again but only for a short time 6. miles or so. I guess that could explain the drop in mpg.
Any ideas on where to look first? Speedo is fine works nice and smooth. Thanks guys.

Mudcat, thats to bad.........
i had to get a new odometer last winter. my voltage regulator went out and spiked my system, smoking my odometer. for reals, back smoke was coming from it . non the less i called a dodge dealer ship and got a quote of $345. a lil steep for a pour sailor like myself. so i called some junk yards and found one, well a whole cluster system for $125. so now it reads 179,000 intead of 260,000.
i have also seen some on ebay a couple time. good luck!

Mine died the week before I bought it, 167406 miles. I don't miss it as much now with the GPS is sitting on the steering column. It only cost me $25.00 used. And no, it was not five finger discount. A boater friend retire d from boating and let it go for that. If anyone knows of a reasonible priced unit I would be interested.

It was working both to and from work today but quit again about 5 miles from home. I will get there just a little slower now. As long as the speedo works I guess it will be ok.
Great site there Chrisreyn. I figured the delaer or a scrap yard would be the only choice.
