Hi guys I got bord today so I went outside and hacked off my exuast all the way to the back of the cab. Now I can here my turbo is this Normal? And if it is will I still here it if I go to the muffler shop and have them add a pipe to run it out to right in front of the back tires? Also what else can I do to make the turbo wine LOUDER and i mean I want it to be as LOUD as I can get it

Please let me know what ya think and thanks for any help....

BHAF, Take out the silencer ring, And yes if you keep it straight piped she'll whislte. I run down the interstate the 18 wheeler's and got a chance against my ol turbo she'll start whistling and it'll just drown there's out. But i know they gotta love see the ol 3/4 ton whistling louder and rolling more smoke then them.

open up your air box and get an after market filter (bahf, or k&n) Dez our turbos dont have slincer rings. but straight pipe your air intake. i just cut my stock tube at the bends and clamped a foot long piece of 4in exhaust tubing in the middle.

Look in my pic gallery. Just take the part of the pipe the curved out behind ther rear tire and put in in front of the tire. Its free and took me about 15 minutes.

Swap on a 2nd gen turbo, rip out the ring and listen to it sing! The 12 cm housing makes for some cool turbo whistle at idle, too.

If you like the sound of the turbo, put a set of five inch stack's on. then you'll hear it sing real loud.

Heck just elbow straight up from the turbo and put a 5 inch pipe 2 feet out of your hood.
