I just had a dumbus moment.

I just changed the oil in the "Dord". Pulled the plug, drained the oil, pulled the filter, pre filled the new filter and installed it. I then dumped a gallon of oil in the engine and started on the next before I remembered I hadn't put the plug back in.

Lucky for me, I hadn't pulled the drain pan from under the truck.

My uncle drained his 7.3, put on the new filter and fired it up!!
Lucky the injectors are hydraulically powered by engine oil so it didn't run long.
Could've been worse.
