I got my interior shelf in and my cb installed

This weekend I installed my new interior shelf it is black and my interior is grey. I think the black will be better cause it won't show the dirt and stuff. I ran the power wires up there so I can have some extra power outlets up there. I think it all worked out well now I can plug in my phone and a few other things. The cb has bluetooth so I won't get a ticket for talking on the phone.

I saw Cobra had the 29 available with blutooth. Does it work well? I thought about it but I like having the weatherband. And I already had both my 29's fully tuned. I mounted the one with weatherband on the dash like I did in the chebby.

Thanks for all the compliments. This radio has blue tooth, the weather channels and night watch. She has been tuned up already also.

The output of the cb is only allowed to be 4 watts according to the fcc. However it is adjustable you can tune them closer to 4 watts than the factory does. They can put out as much as 25 watts but the legal limit is only 4 watts. I am not really sure how the law is enforced though.

"tuned up"- Someone who knows how to play with circuit boards without allowing all the magic smoke escape can go in and change some filters and diodes and resistors and stuff so that you get better sound out of it and it transmits a better signal, like mine. And they can also put different "finals" in it so you get more transmitting power. They can also turn up the modulation, which just makes it louder, but it also sounds like you are talking into a tin can if they turn it up much.

I have been off the road since mid-January. They hadn't had the 29BT out for long, all the ones I saw didn't have the WX and NW in them. I wouldn't buy another CB without the nightwatch, my eyes are sensitive to bright light and that dimmer is nice.

Yes the dimmer is very nice I think I bought this radio when it first came out around january or febuary. The only thing that I do not like about it is the blue tooth mic is in the regular mic. So that means you cant get any cool power mic's or anything. No one is making a power mic for the bt yet. The radio also came with a aux mic for the bt that I also installed so that the sound of my voice dosent change when the mic moves around while I am driving.

You used to be able to get linear amps online but for a couple of years I have not seen any. I know its not legal but you could find them. I had a 250 killer bee ( or something like that ) but never got it hooked up.
