We have all kinds of the stuff at work. What would be a good filter setup to do a few gallons at a time? Maybe gravity feed.

Just to be clear, WVO and WMO are NOT the same thing.

WVO: waste vegetable oil

WMO waste motor(engine) oil

I've been running about a 50% mix of WMO for about 5k miles now and have seen no ill effects. Except for a slight blue exhaust haze at mostly cold idle and a little once warmed. Some of it may be due to the injectors also, but most of is the oil.

I do filter the oil through a 12 micron filter before it goes into the tank and then once on the truck I eliminated the stock filter and put together my own dual filter setup with the first filter being a 12 micron fuel/water separator filter and then through a 2 micron filter.

I personally feel that it is a must for fuel pump life to filter to 2 micron's, its probably not needed but it makes me feel better.

Would a person have to worry about the black residue used engine oil leaves behind? Does it build up on the inside of the injection pump and other components? That is the only thing I am worried about if I run it.

now that I put a few miles on it the fuel gauge is back to normal. I guess maybe I had it too full or something.

What do you guys think this would do to an 07 d-max? I don't know about the injectors. I have no emissions controls of any kind so that isn't a problem. I have a water separator and remote oil filter inline with a pump to feed them would that be ample filtering? I still don't know, though, the duramax is expensive and the lifeblood of my business. But when I spend $650-$700+ every month it's tempting.

Johnny5.9 I don't know if the cp3 will handle it because I herd they couldn't handle homemade biodiesel but I don't know I would ask on dieselplace or another duramax site.

I thought that. BUT I did a bunch of reading and found out that it isnt bad for these bosch pumped cummins. Cummins recommends running a small percentage of wmo per tank. I have been running a gallon to 2 gallons for the last few FULL tanks with barely any effects at all. Just smells a little different. Dont know if its the extra fuel im throwing in the tank or what, but it usually bumps me up about 1-3 mpg depending on my foot.
