HX-35 installed, and a big thanks to caleb c.

Well first off I would like to thank caleb c. for sending me the turbo, he sent me a PM from my wanted ad that he had an HX-35 for sale. I wanted to install the turbo this last weekend so he said that he would send it out that day in the mail and I could do the same with a check, its nice to be part of an enthusiast community where we can trust one another. THANKS AGAIN CALEB C. !

Now onto my truck... WOW! The pick up in boost at partial throttle is great and I bumped from a peak of 16 psi. to peak of 24 psi. without turning the pump up. I would like to know what you guys think of my numbers...

Empty @ 80 MPH:
10 psi constant
825* EGT
180* Trans temp.

Empty @ full throttle:
24 Peak psi.
925* EGT
190* Trans temp.

Thank you Jason! Your numbers sound good to me, but I would say your WOT EGT's are pretty low, meaning you have a lot of headroom for some more fuel. Anyways, glad you like it

Sounds like it needs more fuel.

wow mine only hits between 750-800 WOT and hits max boost of 21psi runs pretty even with my buddys 24 valve with an adge comp box strait pipe and k&n air filter. how hot would a guy want a WOT egt if he some times pulls simi-heavy loads.

For a 100% duty cycle, 1250*F (pre-turbo) is the max allowed by Cummins/Dodge.

Up to 300 in normal conditions. I've had mine pre and post in the same day and in the same conditions. 900 post on a WOT run in 5th was 1400 pre....

yea i wanted to run mine pre too but between school and mechanicing for new holland i really dont have much time especially this time of year. all the big trucks i drove on harvest were all mounted after turbo and i just had the stuff to run them that way and kind of used the same rule of thumb for the old cummins.

I wouldn't trust the old ''rule of thumb" with my engine...I would for sure mount it before the spinny thing.....
