hubs???

so i went on a drive not too long maybe 30-35 miles from my house. on my way back i was stuck in stop and go traffic. its super hot today but i decided to feel my hubs see how warm they were. they got pretty hot! i spun the front driveshaft and it spun freely, but are the axles also supposed to spin with it in 2H? i took the hub off and the grease smelled fine not burned or anything but i think my rotars may be a little tight. any suggestions... i dont want to ruin anything i cant afford it!

thanks david

Generally they get hot from using the brakes. Try letting it cool, then driving for a few miles on the highway without using the brakes, and see how hot they are.

yes, your front wheels will turn while in 2h. as long as the grease was fine then it was not to hot for it.
