HTT stage III vs 12/16cm or both?
HTT stage III vs 12/16cm or both?
So I was wondering if the stage III or IV mod is better than the 12/16cm housing or do you think I should do both? I have read up a little on the 18.5cm and there are a lot of guys that say to stick with it vise going for the 12/16... What do you guys think?

Smaller housing is a definite plus on the 5sp truck. But you wouldn't notice much improvement going to a 16 from your 18.5. OTOH, the wastegated 12 would be fun, but EGT could become an issue if you tow alot. The compressor upgrade is a no-brainer for anyone willing to spend the $. Always an improvement.

I did the HTT stage 3 on an 18.5,
If you want to race, and come off the line quick, go wwith the 12cm, and a stage 3 or 4,,, I will begin to make real boost at 1500 rpm, I run mostly highway driving, The 18.5 is fine for me.

A 12 cm wastegated housing on an intercooled 5 speed truck is like getting a new truck.
You will love it that much. Do a Stage III kit at the same time so you get the whistle and you will grin like an idiot every time you drive the truck.
