HTT compressor upgrade
HTT compressor upgrade
What is the difference between a stage three and stage four upgrade? Why should I choose one over the other? I know it's 100 bucks and the stage four seems to have a backplate but what about the difference in performance?
thanks
thanks
Specs:
Stage III
60mm, 8 blade inducer, 83mm exducer
Stage IV
60mm, 6 blade inducer, 86mm exducer
The Stage IV flows a little more air, but I'm not convinced it's worth the extra money. What are your plans for the truck? Also, what are your EGT's and boost at now?

the main benefit, in my opinion is the advent of the MWE (map width enhancement slot) I just replaced my H1c with a 98.5 hx35 with smaller 54cm compressor with smaller base section than even an h1c but it works great with the 12 cm2 and shoots up to 28 psi with high rpm instantly. All Hx35 turbos have a MWE... 54 is good enough for me because I'm not intercooled and don't have the volume even though I have a custom 3" crossover.
I tow with the truck and my egt's run on the high side. I have to keep one eye on the pyro all the time. I want to bring the temps down. I am planning a turbo change from my 16cm to a 12 wastegate also.
