How to hold the fuel tank up?

I'm one of the trucks with a ratchet strap holding the tank up. I got a new strap from the dealer, but the slot in the frame is gone, rusted throught. Any ideas? thanks

I second that, it's going to be best way I can think of. Hey if you can't weld it in drill through the new plate and frame and bolt it.

Thanks, that is what I'm thinking, if I can find something solid enough to weld or bolt to.

Mine fell through week ago and a quick fix was to drill the strap at the "key" end and using a SS bolt and two nuts. Know the bolt rests on the frame inside the wallowed out bracket without a chance of coming out. My strap wasn't rotten so I feel safe.It took 10 minutes. Hardest part was the thinkin.
