THANK YOU! I was unsure if the actuation of the lever was directly correlated to the * of timing, as moving the pump would be, in the same amount of distance.

for anyone planning on installing a spacer, be sure you clean the screws well! i came pretty close to stripping one of mine out. i decided to take a pick of some sort and clean the screws of all dirt and grime that had built up over the years. the result, the torx bit was able to sit deeper inside the head of the screw and not slip out.

Well hows it run? Does it make a big difference?

I towed with it. 7200 lb travel trailer up the mountain one time. 4500 lb carhauler with car up and down the mountain the other time.

Truck ran good, nothing blew up. 80+ down the interstate towing the car too!

top end response is the most noticeable difference by the seat of my pants. i've seen a drop in EGTs of about 200 degrees.

For some reason I've lost ground. Lost a third of my boost from 30 down to 20 and a corresponding loss of power. It did lower my EGTs though.

I thought advancing the timing would lower your boost pressure a little? 10 psi is a bit much though.

So can my truck handle 37 degrees of timing? rephrase: can my truck benefit from 37 degrees of timing?

how will this affect cold weather starts when the ksb is activated? i like the idea of that much advance when driving but if it sacrifices freezing start ability i can't do it.
