Hose source/kind?

While the head is off and the radiator is out I plan on replacing as much as I can since some stuff is 20 years old now.

Anybody have suggestions on radiator and heater hoses? I just plan on NAPA unless somebody has a better idea. I've searched the forum with no luck thinking I'd find silicone or something.

Also, what about the manifold bolts? I'm getting new Cummins head bolts, shouldn't I get new manifold bolts too?

My pyro is stuck in the manifold. Been there several years and is sooted in I guess. Anyone have a handy temp to pull that out without tearing it up?

Lotsa questions...

Try Simple Green cleaner for removing the pyro probe. Its what the 4th Gen guys use for cleaning the soot off the EGR assembly

The original heater hoses are silicone and seem to last forever. I would leave those if they are not damaged or frayed. The radiator hoses replace for sure and keep the old ones as spares...Mark

I have Dimple Green, I'll give that a try.

The rad hoses look fine. If they are as good as you say I will just keep them. Saves me a little money.

What about my tranny heater hoses? Theres a few of the same 90* pieces that the cab heater hose has. While everything was out of the way I though I'd do them too. Are they silicone as well?

Thanks guys
