Horn

1991 Dodge W250. I read there is two horns, a high note and a low note. I have only one horn and there is a wire coming off of it that's tied off and not hooked to anything. The horn in this truck has never worked in the 21 years I've owned it. Do I need to get another horn and hook it up correctly to get the horn to work? I want to get the horn working as well as the cruise control.

With the horn AND the cruise not working, I would suspect the clock spring in the steering column might be a place to look for the problem.

The horn will work with just one horn hooked up, IF the horn works itself.
You can hot wire the horn to see if it works. Then proceed from there.

Just two of the various ways to "skin the cat".

If you skinned a cat it would make a good horn. 9 times at least.
