Talking HMP 1/8th Videos......

I called my wife and having her upload the vids for me so I can post them up. I'll keep updating this as she gets them uploaded. I know, another busy day at work on the diesel forums.

First run with new clutch. Easy off the line.

Second run, 10psi off the line.

Third run, same car.

And the last trip with the truck running. I went all out on this launch.

Boosted launches are crazy! I didnt know till I got home and watched the videos on the big screen that I was spinning the slicks off the line. Next time around I will drop the pressure more. Those runs were at 18psi. I may try 15-12 and see how that does next time around. Just gotta fix the truck first........

No trans rebuilding for me. If it blows then I'll go ahead with the auto swap. But like huntinguy said, the Rag can handle it.....

No powershifting here, the trans just shifts that smooth. Slides right into gear, no need to use force. With the use and abuse the thing has seen in its life, its definatly an amazing trans to me. No slop in the shifter and very easy from gear to gear.

first run was just 9.2x@82.xx, next 2 runs the launch was progressively better, but still ran 9.2x and speed was as low as 75.xx. Dont know what the 4th run was. It was just weird how my 60' times kept gettign better, but the truck would fall harder and harder on its face by the end of the track, and my mph was lower and lower each run. Not just a little, but by almost 8mph. It definatly had issues and I figured it would let go, so I just kept pushing it. Go or Blow.

Alwaysworking, yes the SBDD is in. But 3rd gear launches are just a tad too high geared to get a good 60'. Thats why I think the 3.07's will be a perfect addition with a spool. Launce in 2nd and cross thru the traps in the 1/4 at the top of 4th. So with only 2 shifts and a good launch, 12's should be a cake walk.

This is RPM vs. MPH with 3.07's and if I upgrade to 33" Slicks. I believe it will work out perfectly. And I will be able to compete in the 60-130mph drags once I can produce a 12 second time slip.

I'm assuming you're racing with as little fuel in the tank as possible (a weight thing). That being said, . .

Monitor your fuel temperature as the race-day progresses.
