This may seem like a silly thread,but bare with me . I belive they both have the same comp wheel @56cm so even thou the the wic /18 is slower /lagger to spool, at 2000 rpm they both shoud be pushing the same air ... yes/no. Reason for the question is this : I swapped turbos 2 days after new tranny, didn't give it a run on the hill with stock turbo . Anyway she now hauls the local hill like it wasn't there however I'm thinking at that boost level the whic turbo has nothin or little to due with it ,the credit belongs to the tighter TC and tranny upgrades.. what say y'awl

I assume the WG isn't opening at 15 psi boost so the only difference in Turbo is the exhaust housing. The 12 cm will be a little more restrictive and probably rob some power with a bit higher EGT but I have no idea how much.
A tighter TC will definately improve things.
I have swapped in the WH1C and it made a world of difference in the spool up. I haven't towed anything yet so I have no idea how it will perform with a decent load. My pump defuels before I can build any decent boost and it tops out at 25-26 psi then RPMS kill it. I can hit 100 mph in 5th though.
