Hi. I just got my first truck.

Hi all. Just wanted to post up for the first time. 1st gen. from MI. Love the site, have been lurking for awhile now. Heard about this site from my jeep site, www.greatlakes4x4.com
Just got a 90 reg cab. It has been sitting for about four years, but I put a new battery in it, and it will fire off of ether. Just about everything is rusted, so I have started with the pb blaster.

It will need a new cab, as the rot I have read so much about above the wiindshield has eaten through, and water has been leaking in for some time. Also, it reeks of mouse ****.

Not sure of the plans yet, right now just want to get it running. I will probably be looking for an extended cab frame and body, as a reg cab does not fit the family needs.

I will post up pics tommorrow, but just imagine a 90 long bed, reg. cab 4x4 with some rust, and gray paint.

Not unusual for a rust belt truck. I bet the fuel lines are rotted out, causing you a massive air leak on the supply side.

Welcome. Like Wanna said. Try putting a hose from the lift pump (on the side of the engine block, looks just like a chevy gasser fuel pump) in a can of fresh fuel and then open the air bleed on the filter (little bolt head on the banjo bolt on the downstream side of the filter) and pump the little handle on the fuel pump until you have a good, bubble free stream of fuel. Close the bleed screw and crack three injector lines and turn it over until you have a good strong squirt of fuel at the injectors. Close the injectors and it should start. It'll run really rough but if you bleed the other three injectors it'll smooth out ok.

I'm from your neck of the woods and I've had to replace the fuel lines due to rust, it's pretty common around here.
