Help - ignition switch failure

I go to move my truck off the street and into the driveway.
Insert key and turn partially for power, and lower the windows.
Turn the rest of the way and it makes a click sound and doesn't feel right.
No power, and no start.
Something in the switch broke.
Now the truck is stuck on the street with the windows down.
I think the switch is probably going to need replacing or repairing.
If that's even possible.
I'll look in the manual about how to remove it if that's even in there.
But for the short term is there a way to jump the wires in the switch harness to get power so I can get the windows up?
There's a 4 wires connector going to the switch.
That seems like the place to jump something together
Thanks

I got the windows up by making some little extensions.
I jumped the red wire to the 2 accessories with a little clip wire I have. It got really warm, and the windows were slow.
So at least the windows are up.
I ordered a set of Torx security bits which will be here in the morning so I can remove the switch assembly from the column.
But then what?
Even If I can take the tumbler out what are my options?

There's a sticky on rewiring the windows to work without a key, may be what you did but it was too many years ago for me to remember.

Once you have the security Torx everything else is just standard tools. The replacement should have instructions if you don't have the service manual, there are some specific steps if I recall (again, done years ago).

What I learned later and wish I had done was to take the replacement to a locksmith and have it re-keyed to match the door so I'd only need one key still.

Thanks.
I didn't even realize that the switch assembly could be bought new.
So I did, and will get the part at the store later today.
Once I have the parts in hand I think...
I hope I can swap the tumbler from the old one to the new one.
That's what it looks like in the manual, but that will depend on what wore out.
I'll check the sticky.

That is sound advice.
I got it apart on the bench and pieces fell out.
So I've ordered a new tumbler which should be at the parts shop this afternoon, and have an appointment with a locksmith that can do the work after that.

Update:
I took the new parts to a local locksmith and they were not able to get inside the tumbler and change the lock to match my old key.
For now I've installed the new parts so I can drive the truck.
Has anyone had success having a new tumbler matched to their old key?
If so what brand did you use?
I bought a Standard STD US141LB

I'm pretty sure that the door key is really easy to rekey. There's less tumblers or something because I think lots of 1st gen keys will open doors on each other's trucks.
