Help Broken Spring in Getrag

The rebuild of my getrag is coming along. Lots of progress tonight. I had a delay due to a broken 3rd gear found during the reassmbly. Any how I started taking the top cover apart to change out the shift forks. Well for starters the detent assy(AKA missle aimed at eye) went flying. I located the nylon insert via sonar tracking upon landing however a contact could not be made on the Ball and spring. Also the cone shaped spring under the shifter is broken. Reading my FSM this whole top cover assy is not serviceable. Where do i find these parts??? I'm thinking the ball and spring might be found at the hardware store. I'm hoping this shifter spring is out there somewhere local.

I don't know if Standard Transmission offers those parts but I think that Blumenthal's might. Just have to call them and see. http://www.blumenthalautomatics.com/

At this point would it be better to get a remanned top cover. I have new shift forks but could pawn those off elsewhere. If the new cover comes with shift forks thats about half the stuff in the top cover anyhow. I have gotten 450 plus core from the dealer and possible 225 plus core from a local place. I'm making a few more calls in the next couple minutes. That cover is a pain to take apart which is half the reason why I'm thinking about a remanned unit since I'm not sure if the other stuff in there is good or worn out. I found the missing spring so all I need is a 5/16 inch ball which I'm not that worried about. Whats everyones experience with these remanned covers??
