Headlight switch!!!!!

What's funny is this thread was dying away peacefully until you couldn't leave well enough alone. This thread that has turned into an all out attack on me is defaming to my character and is clearly against the rules of this forum. But, that goes by the wayside because it fits your agenda, having me banned.
I'd venture to guess that I'm not banned, yet, because 95% of what I post is only to help the members here. Sure, I may be brash but you wouldn't have to go far through my post history to find helpful posts, they will be the majority, I'll bet my attacked character on that.
Edit: mr. Daly, if you feel the need to respond to this, please do so via PM so we don't keep cluttering up the feed with this unhelpful, non-truck based discussion.

Justin, you remind me a lot of Bill Paxton's character in the movie Alien, part two.
Aww, just funnin' you, man

"Game over" I love Bill Paxton, what a shame about his death. Did you catch the replay of a Jan. 9th, 1999 SNL episode that he hosted last Saturday? Great actor, I will miss him (I really liked "Big Love" on HBO also)...Mark

Didn't know he passed on. When did this happen? Natural causes?

Hey, OP, my sincere apologies, for you not even getting your headlight switch problem answered. I mean that.
I have never had a switch go out for my headlights, because I followed the wiring upgrade with the relays, written by electrical savvy Jim Layne. His detailed, step by step tutorial, with pics I might add, is listed in the electrical section of the Sticky's. If you don't know how to get to the Sticky's, ask and I'll lead you there.

The guy you speak of was banned for calling multiple members in the forum "Commie Pinkos" just because he didn't agree with one of them buying a part from China he could not get elsewhere..... Not sure how that qualifies as "candy" in your book?

Jfonder was warned multiple times his attitude would not be tolerated here, he just refused to curb it and now one of the Admins has sent him down the road. The lesson here is a simple one......opinions are welcome as long as they don't become attacks on other members. A lot of other places on the Internet are all about the drama, those of us here on DTR prefer our home to be about the sharing of knowledge.

Yeah, he was having surgery for a congenital heart defect and died of complications just last week. It was the movie aliens (the second one) and when the creature got into the air vents he said something like-you mean that thing is in the vents, game over man, game over. The first time I saw him, he was Chet in Weird Science, where Kelly LaBrock turned him into a pus monster...Mark

In the end he just couldn't resist taking a bite at one of our members ( no, not me ) and having bitten so many times, it was time to deal with it.
Thanks everyone for your patience.

I just gave up on posting to any thread he was active on as I was tired of his constant bad attitude.
If the OP has any head light switch questions still, fire them off and I will help out the best I can.

I feel bad enough about ruining the OP's tread, if I had a spare, new switch on me, I'd send it to him. Don't want a newbie to DTR to get discouraged.
I brag to everyone I run into in my travels that own a 1stGen, about this site. Good folks here, with tons of mechanical background. Great source for hard to find parts, also.
