Question Head going on

Well the head is all done being hogged out and it's going on this week. Does anyone have any pro's or con's on using the copper head gasket sealant in a spray can? I've used it before on gas applications and was wondering if I should? All opnions are welcome!

I have heard you don't want to use it with the regular HG. It can be used with the common rail's MLS head gasket, though.

So I just put my head on without the copper spray. Those stinkin bolts get tight! The shorts were 180FT/lbs the med got to 160Ft/lbs and the long 140ft/lbs! This was with moly lube, holes tapped, cleaned and blown dry! My arm hurts!
Should be up and going this weekend, I can't wait to see what a differance this head will make!

That's not tight! I just torced the head studs on my dad's 6.0 powerjoke to 250 ft/lbs. We got everything done and were going over it one more time and my dad snaped a snap-on torce wrench.

I hope it's good. I'm like a kid at christmas! Did you notice that the hump is gone? Robb took lots of metal out of that head! And gave me some sort of valve job. I don't know the angles but we'll see how it works!

Ok, maybe I should rephraze that, I've read before guys that just torq to 135. I was never that low on any of the bolts. Maybe they were talking about studs or something?

I did all of the remove and install, making exhaust and fuel supply. A guy named Robb at a local go fast shop did the head porting. Why do you ask?
