A buddy of mine has a 91 CTD. I think it has a blown head gasket. He found it had no Tstat in it. Put a new one in. The truck smokes at Idle white. The truck does not produce heat. Overflow bottle is like a jacuzzi. The dip stick hole looks like a steam engine and the Oil has water in it. How hard are head gaskets on CTDs to do and what is the cost in parts? I may be helping him out on it.

The gasket is around $50 and the head is very heavy. 2 guys can knock it out in a day, though.
