head gasket ???
head gasket ???
i got a question on a truck im gona go se again tomorrow its a 93 reg cab with a 8ft fisher plow the guy needs 5 grand for it wich isnt too bad the truck needs a couple of things body work, 2 front springs truck has 70000miles on the cunter
truck has never been bombed
the thing im worried about is the head gasket cause i saw a greenish kinda gew on the side of the engine its just below a leaking injector the one closest to the firewall usualy if i see an engine with gew below the head gasket i start running but on this one im not sure cause that fisher plow pump is right beside the air box and there a hose thats not hooked up and its leaking oil so im not sure if its prestone i see or fuel mixed with pump oil.
is there another way to spot a busted head gasket besides leaking im gona go check for air bubles in the radiator and back up tank tomorow or the day after if i remember correcly if its busted i should not get any hot air in cab and temp guage would get on high temp or am i mistaking any input from you guys is always appreciated im also gona try to find oil in water or water in oil

Same thing happened to mine at 230,000 miles. Right between #5 and 6 cylinder. Mine didn't have any of the sealing trace left on that water passage, it looked like that over the years the weather and heat eroded away the trace.
head
is there anyway to test it to make sure it is coolant like i said fisher pump is leaking and that side of the motor is wet the guy drives it almost everyday i did not notice any white smoke coming out of exaust
