Head

Good evening everyone, i have developed what seems to be a blown head gasket. I could clearly see bubbling between the block and head in front of cylinder one next to the head bolt and also right behind the injection pump. I still have yet to see the typical coolant and oil mixture but that bubbling is visible. Can anyone lead me into the right direction as to what to check for or hiw to troubleshoot for gasket failure before i take it to a mechanic? Coolant level is normal, do you all think maybe the head needs to be retorqued?

The reason im leaning towards the head needing to be retorqued is because i noticed coolant leaking and the water pump mounting bolts were actually loose. I also had the mounting bolts fir the clutch fan shear on me and it was cuz of loose bolts. Truck has 135k miles. Thanks for everyones help.

Go ahead and retorque it, can't hurt to try it.

You could try and retorque your head. It doesn't cost anything but I don't think it will be a permanent fix.

Whatever you do DON'T dump any stop leak type junk into it. That only makes it worse.
