Haze under full boost?

Hey guys,

So, I've done most of the basic pump mods, and now I hit ~25psi with the go-fast pedal all the way down.

Today for the first time I noticed some...haze behind me after I left a light (leaving a Powerstroke to enjoy it).

Is haze just a small amount of black smoke? I mean, there definitely wasn't a bunch of black smoke rolling out of the truck, but it was from excessive amounts of fueling...right?

I don't worry until it makes the headlights behind me go out. The most I saw on stock 6x.009's was 30 psi. Thats with everything maxed. They did haze a little at wide open throttle. The .016's on the other hand smoke at every rpm and throttle position.

JQ - you and Ritchie need to replace your AFC spring .......

Mine hazes at idle like pretty much all big sticks do. But as soon as I get some air flowing they clear up.

UNTIL the throttle gets real close to the floor

POD's seem to haze no matter what. Even with the afc lever they were still messy.

PODs are dirty and stinky, wish i had the disposable green for some 5x12`s or 14`s, anything actually that would idle clean.

My engine is dropped about a half a point on compression too, which doesn't help.

A properly calibrated truck will run totally clean to leaving a bit of a gray haze at full throttle.
(I set mine for gray haze at full power on a 70 degree day).
These trucks will also leave a black puff just before going into boost.

Thanks. My truck puffs a little white when it's cold (4 hrs sitting at 15 degrees outside or so)...but then doesn't really smoke until I give it full throttle, and then just hazes grey.

Sounds like I'm right where I wanna be.
