Even a set of 4 singles would be nice. I dont think I want to try and keep the dual chains tight and centered. Besides, on the outside, they would be running in different tracks.

Yes, outside would be different track. Keeping dually chains tight isn't too bad though. Dad used to run chains at 45mph loaded with 25,000lb of lobster on our old "dually"

When I chain up the dmax I only run chains on the outside rear tires. Even that helps a ton. When I plowed for public works with the 7 yard dumps ( 2 wheel peel ) and it got bad I would chain up the outer duals and take the pressure on the inside duals down to 20 psi so all the weight was on the chains. We always plowed with 7 yards on the back of the trucks. They were usless with half a load or under.
