harness tape
So I was looking to redo the door harnesses looms.
I've found Chrysler was using a similar tape to what the german companies use. It is readily available from amazon cheaply ~$5 single roll with free shipping or $10/3 rolls, etc..

That would be a good thing to have on hand. That and vulcanizing tape.

Samiam, you know what I did? I just bought the higher grade electrical tape from Home Depot, wrapped over the old wrap on the loom with two passes, and then coated over the red tape with the same red color in a liquid electrical brush on tape. I'm a big fan of that brush on tape, as it remains flexible and is able to withstand some of the engine compartment heat. Also keeps the ends of the tape from peel back.
Recently Home Depot started carrying this 3M cloth anti vibration tape, and I've since made the switch to solely using that vs. the typical vynil tape. They label it as Friction Tape. Great stuff by itself, but I still brush on that liquid tape over that cloth and vibration product.
I was just looking at my door harness loom the other day. It's held up well since I did that about 10 years ago.

I buy the cloth tape used for Hockey sticks....yes I know use crazy hockey lovin Canadians.... It holds up pretty well, and is CHEAP! The use of brush on tape on the ends to help hold it locked in place is a great idea....will add that to my future re-wraps.
