Just got a two Westach combo guages (Pyro/Boost and FP/Trans Temp.). To install the gauge sensors what type of thread dope or tape should I use on the threads?<br><br>EGT Sensor?<br>Boost?<br>Fuel Pressure Sensor?<br>Trans Temperature Sensor?<br><br>Thanks in advance for any help!<br><br><br><br>

 

None on the egt probe. Too hot any way<br>Boost and fuel I used a teflon paste that is fuel and steam compatable. Any hardware store will have it.<br>Didn't do my trans. temp yet so I'm not sure there. I'm guessing the same paste will work good. I don't have any leaks so far ;D

 

Don't forget some Anti-Seize on the EGT probe! ;D<br><br>Tony

Don't use Teflon Tape on the Fuel Pressure guage.<br><br>It tends to come apart and gum up the works.<br><br>Imagine if you will, little pieces of undissolvable tape getting into the injection pump. :'( <br><br><br>phox

 

I did not use anything on mine, no leaks.
