Hard starting issue.
Hard starting issue.
Over the last couple weeks, my truck has been taking longer and longer to start in 80 degree weather. Truck will start easily after it has been running, however, If left to sit for a period of time, it will just crank forever and not fire. Or sometimes it might fire after a while????? If I push start the truck, it fires immediately with no problems at all. I did some research and assumed an air leak in the fuel. I have since replaced my fuel filter and deleted the fuel heater with the shorter fuel filter fitting. I couldn't find leaks anywhere else. The truck has no noticeable loss in power. Starting is not affected by how hot the ip is. I tested this by attempting to start hot and cold(after spraying an upside down can-of-air on the pump.) Any insight would be great.
I just started thinking about the pump but you said you tried cooling it with a can of air. Have you tried pouring warm water on it after it's been running for a while? Not cold water of course.
