Happy New Owner!!
Happy New Owner!!
Well I just sold the truck in my sig a few weeks ago and already was going into withdrawal!! But I stumbled across a diamond in the rough this past weekend and had to share. A two owner, 92 w250 LE reg cab 5sp 4X4 with 190k on the ticker followed me home on Saturday! (Guess it's time to update my sig!)
Although the paint's a little rough (stared life as white with gray interior but is now rattle can primer gray outside due to flaking paint) the body is pretty straight. And as far as I can tell it's completely stock. Doesn't even have a gooseneck in the bed!! Only issues so far are the u-joints in the rear d-shaft were all but non-existant (I expected it to sling the d-shaft on the way home) and there's a small crack starting in the steering gearbox mounting plate. Oh and the power locks throw a little fit occasionally. It kind of earks me that the former owner put load range C tires on the truck. Too bad...they've only got a few thousand miles on em too. Looks kind of funny. Even with 50psi in them they still look flat. SHe needs a little timing bump and a little pump tweeking, and 4" exhaust, but other than that she's good to go! Brakes are good, steering/front end is tight (for now), clutch is strong, and even the Getrag/transfer case is quiet. I can honestly say there's a lot I like more about this truck than my over valved one. Wish I would have found one a long time ago!

$4300......Got off work a little early today and bumped the timing a little. I also gave the smoke screw a few turns. That's all she gets till my gauges get here. Runs completely different! No more stumble or white smoke! I'll get pics when I can. I'm camera-less for the time-being. Oh and most importantly...thanks for the warm welcome!
dang...that kind of money for such a truck....you did really freaking good there man.....making me feel fiscally foolish....
