Guages Question, Not the usual

Ok, for guages I have my boost and pyro on the A pilllar, tach on the steering column
And was thinking of mounting my tranny temp, in a three guage pod by the ashtray next to my brake controller,
So this leaves me with 2 avilable slots left to fill

What would you think is more important

Fuel Pressure ( i think this is almost a given for troubleshooting purposes)

Oil Pressure

Engine Temp

Could make a good case for either of the two remaining choices

What do you guys thing?

Either way the stock 1st gen dash guages suck,

Thanks

Eric

You could do fuel pressure with a cheapo Jeg's liquid filled gauge like the 1.5" ones they sell for $20. I'm doing this now after trying a more expensive route, and this works well.

Or you could just rig up an idiot light with a Hobbs switch set at 5psi or so.

So I'd go with engine coolant temp and oil pressure, and go cheap on the fuel pressure.

jmo, as a VP44 guy.

I think the choice for your last gauge spot depends on what you use the truck for. I'd go with the temp gauge if I towed heavy alot. Otherwise, I'd prefer to keep an eye on the oil pressure. In a tossup situation, if I had to depend on the stock gauge, I'd be more worried about the oil pressure. That seems to be the one most often reported to experience sender problems.

5 functions on the A pillar

I have a 3 gauge A pillar and monitor 5 items -

Top pod (has small external toggle switch): Trans temp and flip the toggle for rear diff temp

Center pod: Fuel pressure

Bottom pod: Westach pyro/boost combo

I think it's a pretty good use of some very limited real estate.

I might go with oil gauge if it were me...but for my pyro + boost i mounted under the ashtray.I don't smoke but I can still open+close the tray.I can see my gauges better there.I have my brake controller to the left of the ashtray.

Westach, and others, have combol gauges. I have a boost/pyro, trans pan/output, and a tach. Five gauges in a three gauge pod.

What is the temp range on the pyro? I saw in Summit that they sell a couple of different temp ranges.
Thanks,

SPA technique has dual guages that are VERY high end.

And priced accordingly...
