Greetings! oil gauge and fuel gauge

They haven't worked in a while.... since they are in the same place I was wondering if this is a common fail? Easy fix?

Go up to the user cp and fill out your signature, so that we know what rig you have. There are some significant differences between the years and that will affect the answer. Welcome aboard...Mark

I have seen where the gauges no longer make good contact with the backing plate, pull it apart and see.
