Got my first CTD! Pix inside.

I was looking for a tow vehicle for my Mustang and ended up buying this. 1992 4x2 (bone stock), 3/4 ton, auto. 165k and i paid $5600. Everything works including ac. I love this thing. I am going to start modding asap!

Looks clean and solid. You gotta do something about that exhaust. Maybe I'm too used to seeing 4 and 5 inch tips, but that looks like a gasser tailpipe to me.

Thanks guys. Ive actually been checking out the site for about 3 weeks now. Lots of good info here.

Yea the tiny exhaust has gotta go! Any recommendations? These are the mods I want to do.

boost and pyro gauges
16cm2 housing
full exhaust 4in
3200 spring
fuel pin
pods

Am I going in the right direction?

I don't recommend the POD's for a tow rig, you end up having to get a lot more air flow (read: big expensive turbo(s)) to use the power they can make.

I would do the housing and exhaust first.

You have it pretty well covered. Do the mods in that order and you will just get happier and happier with your new truck!

Im just going to be towing only on occasion. Maybe a few times a summer tops. Do you not recommend pods for towing in my situation?

If you are willing to drive by the pyrometer, POD's are fine for towing. You will not be able to use anywhere near all the power that POD's can give when you tow, and that is very frustrating to some people. A big turbo like an HX-40 or an HTB2 will help with that, and a good twin setup will let you use it all. If you don't want to put big bucks into turbo upgrades, you should stick with the stock injectors or 190's.

NICE.................
very straight and clean....I like it!

most of the guys here know more about the mechanical aspects of these engines than me, but one of the first things I did was the KDP. After learning about it, it scared me! I'd make that one of my first projects.

Put your pics in your photo gallery. Can't see them, work is blocking them.

runamuk, how about i keep the pony car and still pimp this ride! The stang is fun to drive (512 rwhp - 444 rwtq).

wannadiesel, im not familiar with the 190's. More info would be great! Hopefully after i do all the other mods i could swing an hx-40 and the pods.

Great ride. I like the cap also with the big side window.

Wanna called it right though about that tail pipe. Just too use to seeing 4" or 5" pipe sticking out.

You got that for a wonderful price.
