Chip said big rig truckers use a straight 30 weight in their ps systems.
Depends on the manufacturer. Freightliner calls for 15-40 motor oil. Our mechanic preferred ATF. It seems to work well. The flattop has JD lo-vis hy-guard in it because that's what we had the day it blew a line while cutting wheat. It doesn't fade.

Sounds like you need a power steering cooler.

He does, but with slow speed, high activity snow plow steering with a fast ratio sector, it can't keep up with the furnace effect.

Hmmmm...... did that already.... last year. Its out in front of the a/c condenser, and has air being pulled through it from the fan.
