good converter deal????

so since i noticed my transmission starting to slip, which it has only gotten worse, i started looking around for a new torque converter. goerend seems like the way to go but i found this on summit racing. what do yall think, is it a good deal? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...6&autoview=sku

3800 RPM stall would NOT be an improvement.

Wouldn't waste my money on that when you can spend a few bucks more and get one from a Reputible source... Plus, I don't think that summit one is designed for a Diesel... Definately a no from me!!

I didn't say your converter was good, all I said was that a 10" high stall gasser converter would not be an upgrade. You need a converter for a diesel.

I think Goerend is $650 for a 727 converter. Lower stall, billet front, torrington bearing

I just fell out of my chair laughing.

by opening a can of worms do you mean blowing up your 600,000 mile transmission? Adding that converter will put alot more stress on your tranny.
Get that bad boy rebuilt so it will last
