Dave Goerend knows what he is talking about, and stands behind all of his products. You can't go wroung with Goerend. If somehow you do, he will fix it.

Goerend all the way. Although I know Suncoast makes a pretty good converter as well...

I know it's a little off topic, but Ryan, how do you like the 518 with those 3.07 gears?

Goerend all the way. Dave is a great guy to deal with and has a great product. If I was buying another auto it would be a goerend.

Goerend, awesome guy to deal with/talk to

Suncoast built a 518 non lockup for "ruquik" (member on here) and it had no reverse,

Goerend knows first gen trannies pretty well.

You'll have fun for sure. When my tranny blows, if I don't convert it to an NV4500, I'll be going Goerends all the way.

I'm hoping Suncoast rebuilt the tranny free of charge. I can understand that mistakes happen, but it's how you handle those mistakes that really make your company stand out.

I wish I could tell you but I don't have the truck back together yet . I have no garage and 6" of snow and ice all over the truck. I just have to put the t-case in and put the driveshafts on and it will be ready but I am affraid it is going to have to wait for much warmer weather.

That sucks, sorry man. I hope it gets warm soon, but by the looks of things it won't.

Firstgenfanatic, have you installed the converter yet? If you did, who did you go with, and how do you like it?
