Glowshift 3in1 mounting?
Glowshift 3in1 mounting?
I feel stupid asking this but it makes no sense to me how the gauge mounts into the mounting pod? I have the little visor on the gauge to block the sun and the gauge just slids in and out of the mounting pod. Do i use the felt tape to make an interference fit? Seems pretty shoddy if that is the way it is designed. Pics would be great.
Yes, the felt tape creates a interference fit. Looks shoddy but it was fine in my truck.
Also, that mounting plate is thin enough to bend and break off in places you want. IIRC, I took out the front left corner and bent it around the A pillar. I also used the 2 sided foam tape to stick it on the A pillar. I cleaned the pillar with alcohol before sticking it on. Held up 1 summer and winter before I got rid of the truck. No damage done on the pillar either.
