Glow shift triple gauge a pillar pod

Just seen on eBay that glowshift has a triple pillar a pod for our trucks. Any body tried one yet? I know glow shifts pods have typically pointed the gauges a little steep but I wonder if they fixed it? I just ordered one. 36.00 bucks

I just put a glow shift a pillar triple pod in my 01 24v. I have auto meter z series gauges but I went with the glow shift pod because it was so cheap. Got mine on eBay for $36 as well. It seems fine to me no complaints at all. Although one thing I did notice is that there isn't much of a lip around the gauge cut outs. So if your gauge has a wide rim around the face it may stick out past the edges of the pod if that makes sense. It wasn't an issue with the auto meter z series though.

I imagine they will point up like their double pillar does but I'm ok with that. Looks like they were reading the auto meter thread and decided to jump when auto meter decided to not proceed

Does this pod cover the OEM A pillar molding or replace the molding? Also has anyone received one for a first gen to see how the angle of the guages look?

I see only black as a color. Would I need to paint to match a grey interior or am I missing a color selection on Glowshifts site?

Thank you,
BlueW250

It is designed to cover the existing pillar. However, that will require drilling holes in it for the wiring. I bought my truck with a double pillar pod and upgraded to a triple and didn't have the original a pillar so i had to make it work without it. All I did was use a little bit of styrofoam to help pack it out and then put one long sheet metal screw through it into the metal from of the a pillar. It worked great and I painted the head of the screw black so it looks sweet. Ill post picks when I get the truck back its in the shop atm. Mine is a 2nd gen so i can't help you with the angle. They look fine in my truck though. As far as color goes, I think you can buy special paint from mopar for this exact purpose.

I looked the pic over on that add. It points the gages almost straight up. The angle looks the same as the propods brand did. The top gage on a dual pro pod was hard to see in glare or at night if you had the gage light wired to dim.

We want pic's of a install.

It does look like they would tilt the gauges too high. Might be perfect if your eyes are on top of your head and you sit with your head about 3 inches from the roof, and 4 inches behind the wheel.

Well my pod showed up today. It actually looks like its built pretty good. I fit it into place on the pillar and its a little snug getting in but does fit pretty good. After setting it in place and sitting in the truck the angles actually look pretty good to me. All 3 pods are easy to see. I had an autometer 2 gauge pod I held next to the new pod and the angles seem to be the same or a little better. I do not have or have never had a double pod from glow shift but have heard from several people that they point the gauges really steep. Here's some pictures. Hope they help.Name: IMG_20150706_171116171_HDR.jpg

That doesn't look too bad at all. Looks like it might be even better then my Autometer 2 pod set-up. And I like that it's a complete new unit? Appears to be in the pics?

Couple people endorsing these gauge pods and they will make a killing on these. They will be come very popular, really fast!

Yes. Complete unit. 36.99 shipped. I think it's gonna be pretty good. Way better than option b.... Oh wait there is no other option for three gauges on the pillar. At least not a good one.
