best is to get a hold of Dave himself, and chat with him about what he thinks you need, he will ask you what you do, how you use your truck, what you will do with it, what you might do, and what you will never do. he will help pick you brain and then tell you what he thinks. He is a very honest guy, will not oversell you like most would. You can also ask him at that time for an authorized installer in your area, cuts down on shipping cost, and strengthens warranty. I went with a full buildup, close to 600 hp through mine, a buncy of close friends have similar builds, with even more power, they run low 12's I am right at 13 for the quarter, but room for more.

Is there a $550 converter you can buy through them? I read you can and it's the same converter as the $650 one except one has a lifetime warranty and one doesn't right?

When I talked with him, that's what he told me. The $550 converter has the standard 1 year warranty, and the $650 has a lifetime warranty. Both are 89% I believe.

The 550 one is a more stock unit the 650 is build more for towing.. From what he said.

I found a 92 5 speed doner truck maybe for the clutch peddle and stuff, I also may have a line on a NV4500,,, If it all works out before I odrer stuff for this auto it may get swapped out

Dave does not rate his as a percentage, that is just trash that some others use. What you call an 89% will be totally different depending on the engine in front of it. If it is say a 1600RPM stall speed behind a 350 HP truck it will be way higher, for example possibly a 2200 RPM stall behind a 700HP truck.
