What engine are you taking out??

My truck sits higher in the front with the 1st Gen. in it than it did with a 6.9 Int., about an inch.

A lot of 1st. Gen tons have 4.10 gears.

Are you using a 5-speed with an OD gear??

4.11's will work fine if you are using an overdrive trans. If not, you'll have to be happy with a 60 mph top end.

Even with 35's?

Assuming 3000 RPM redline (which you can freewheel to if you're really pushing it) then you'd be going 76 miles per hour... (Assuming you have enough power, which you should have.)

With a 3200 governor spring you could freewheel up to, what, 3500 unloaded? That would be 88 miles per hour...

If you get a 4200 RPM governor with valve springs, then 4000 RPM would take you 101 miles per hour and 4500 would take you 114 miles per hour.

Maybe he'll just have to go with 45's...

I was figuring with "normal" size tires there, Begle.
