Question gauge options??

ok im ordering up some gauges for my 93. ive got a few mods, 366 spring, 4 inch turbo back exhaust and bigger injectors (PO installed them i think he said they were 60 hp injectors?) i plan on putting a cold air intake when the funds allow it. but thats about it. i drive the truck to work every day and decided that its time to get some gauges to keep a better eye on things. i just ordered a isspro tach and plan on mounting it on top of my steering column. i was just on geno's looking at some gauges (i wanna stay with isspro) and im not sure what to order first. they have boost gauges from 30psi to 100psi. then they have fuel (either 0-30psi or 0-60psi) pressure, trans temp (either 140 degrees or 320 degress), and a EGT (100 degrees -1500 degrees) pre or post turbo install. what does that mean? i plan to order a dual a pillar gauge pod. what 2 gauges should i order first? why do they have all different ranges of psi? i dont have any major mods planed in the future, so what would be the best options to run in my truck? thanks.

you want pre turbo exhaust temp tapped into the exh manifold, check the stickies for location, 0-60 is a good boost range, no mods 0-30, pyro and boost are important as you up the power, trans is also if towing.

Egt is most important I'd say and if your not planning in any other mods it's kind of a toss up between trans and boost because I don't think your pushing enough air to worry about it. My EGT gauge goes to 1800 or 2k can't remember and trans temp is 250-260 which would scare me if I ever saw it go that high! I would say try to get all 3 if you can because power is addicting!

lol..i wish i could find a 3 gauge pod. all i was able to find was 2 pod for the a pillar and a column mount one. ive been looking for the ones that go on the dash. i do alot of towing so i think i may get the egt and trans temp next..why do gauges have to be sooo expensive!

Get the 60lbs gauge. Just a dennyt pin, power screw adjustment, and a 4k rpm spring I can bounce the needle off the 30lbs stop because I hit it hard.

3 gauge pillar mounts don't really work out that well in these old trucks unless your pretty tall. I would do what Jon suggested. With my mods I don't even hit 30 psi unless the converter is locked but I still have the stock lagmaster.

pyro is the expensive one, boost gauge is a third the price, in stock form your probably getting to 20 psi, with free pump adjustments, the extra fuel will get you passed 30, smaller exhaust housing will spool quicker and psi will come up a little more, im getting to 40 on a 0-60, i would do the boost and pyro on the pod, do the trans on the column or dash, when money allows.
