I'm thinking that red wire goes to a clear block connector in the dash but not sure I got hot and tired of laying in the floorboard looking at wires I also a fuse in place of of the fuse link and it blows fuse soon as to turn key on to "wait to start" position so I know I've got a short somewhere ?? Thanks again

Do a search of "fusible links". there have been many posts about this. I believe that there is at least 1 thread in the sticky about taking care of this...Mark

Ignition switch powers a blue wired circuit protected only by a fusable link that goes all over, including the grid heater relays, the IP, and the transmission OD circuit. Lot's of opportunity for a frame short.

Not sure if this will be hard to read or not. I tried to keep the text centralized as best I could which is why I wrote so small. Not too long ago, I traced the wiring as best I could throughout the wiring schematics in the FSM for my '90 and labeled the fusible links with what I could find. Here's what I came up with. I've had a few others ask if I could put together a better layout including text. I'll do what I can as soon as I can and post a thread.

If you're certain it's the 12ga. Red wire on the other side of the 20ga., 40amp Orange fusible link, that powers some of the interior and exterior lighting.

Not really. Just look it up on the diagram and look for the blue wires.

It ain't rocket science, but it does take a little bit of thought.
