Fueling
OK, I'm almost ready to install a few upgrades as soon as the ugly brown truck shows up with my Stan's exhaust. The upgrades include a pulse flow manifold, HX35W, POD's and the 4" exhaust. The VE is tuned; 2 turns on fuel, star low, AFC up, and a mildly ground pin.
I plan on installing a Holley Blue pump. Do I need to bypass/remove the somewhat new lift pump and use a adjustable regulator, or use the lift pump as a regulator? NHRA puts you in timeout if you plumb a gas FP gauge into the cockpit, diesel isnt so bad, but common sense says "no". But what good is a FP gauge if you have to be under the hood to read it at full tilt, towing a trailer? Any examples? I dont mind using the pressure transducer for the gauge, but I've had them lie in the past. Whats the concensus on good fuel pressure #'s under load for the VE?

I would use a 1st gen piston pump before I'd bother with a Holley of any color.
Those Holley pumps are internally regulated, you won't need a regulator in the system.
With the fuel you are running you will probably see around 10 psi at full load if you hit the filter with 15 psi.
