Fuel tank help
Filled the tank this morning, and saw fuel running down the side from the top. It seems to have stopped, when I shut the engine off. I assume it's the return line. I can't get to it til at least Monday ( by then, the level will be down anyway). Would Napa have all the gaskets to the tank, or ddo I have to see the dealer? I intend on replacing all when I drop the tank. Lines too.

Redleg,
If you filled the truck to the top and then topped it off, you just have fuel running out of the roll over valve.....nothing to worry about

Re:Fuel tank help
I'll double check to make sure, but I had over 40 miles to get to work yet after fill up, so should be well below the tube now. I didn't notice til I started filling while engine was running. Because of my flatbed, Icould see it run down the side of the tank. It was still dripping heavy after I got to work. I almost always over fill and never saw a leak before. When I shut down at work, it seemed to have stopped. I'll be watching it all weekend though. I doubt any of the lines have been replaced, so I'm sure everything is dew. I don't mind so much, at least I'll know it'll be reliable when fixed. I just don't want to give the dealer my paycheck. They didn't earn it by walking to the stock shelf.

Re:Fuel tank help
Good morning. Down to about 1/2 tank, still running out only when engine is running. I'll drop the tank when it's almost empty.

Re:Fuel tank help
It sure is nice having a flat bed. Crawled under the truck, and I could sit right up next the tank and look around on top. Leak was the steel lines. Instead of dropping the tank to get them off, I'll just leave them. I cut them off the tank fittings, and removed them under the hood. I'll pick up the replacement rubber lines this afternoon and throw them on. Already checked and Napa has in stock. I'll probably be ordering an electric pump to try soon, I'll get enuff hose to be able to mount the pump over on the fram., maybe able to route some cool air to it.
