Fuel Strainer?

I was looking on DodgeRam.org and saw the part #'s for a fuel strainer for 1st gen apps, in my instance here is where I looked:

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/Facts/91specs.html

I didnt think 1st gens had a strainer, but if so where is it, and does it need any service?

Seems like they have combined some of the specs for the 2nd Gen P pumped engine with the 1st gen specs. Take a look at the fuel pressure specs. Those are for the piston type pump with P7100. The 1st gens do not have a strainer like the 2nd gens.

Now that I have a piston pump on my first Gen, do I have a strainer?
